Billing Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains subscriptions, payments, automatic renewal, cancellations, and refunds. It is designed to comply with California's Automatic Renewal Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17602), New York's auto-renewal statute, and similar consumer-protection laws in other states.

2. Subscription Plans

A free tier and paid plans are offered. Current pricing is shown at mymereor.com/pricing and at checkout before you are charged.

3. Clear and Conspicuous Disclosure (Before Checkout)

Before you are charged, we display in plain language: (a) the recurring nature of the subscription, (b) the price that will be charged each period, (c) the length of each billing period, (d) that the subscription continues until you cancel, and (e) how to cancel.

4. Billing Cycle

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as you select, beginning on the date you subscribe. Annual plans are billed upfront for the year.

5. Automatic Renewal and Reminders

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price using your payment method on file, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. For annual plans we send a renewal reminder email 7-30 days before renewal as required by California law. We send a post-purchase acknowledgment email confirming the recurring charge, the amount, the billing period, and how to cancel.

6. Free Trial Conversion

When a free trial converts to a paid subscription, we disclose at signup the trial length, the date the trial ends, the price after trial, and how to cancel before being charged. You may cancel at any time during the trial without charge.

7. Payment Methods

Payments are processed by Stripe using major credit/debit cards. Failed payments trigger an email notification and automatic retry. Unresolved failures may result in downgrade to the free tier.

8. Cancellation (Online, One-Click Where Required)

You may cancel at any time online from account settings — no phone call or email required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; the account reverts to the free tier. We comply with the FTC "Click-to-Cancel" principles and California's online-cancellation requirements: cancellation is at least as easy as signup.

9. Refunds

We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods, except where required by law (including certain state auto-renewal statutes) or in the case of: (a) duplicate charges, (b) charges after a confirmed cancellation, (c) verified technical failure of the Service that materially impaired your access, or (d) at our discretion. Refund requests should be sent to support@mymereor.com within 30 days of the charge.

10. Price Changes

We will give you at least 30 days' email notice before any price change takes effect. Price changes apply at the start of the next billing period after the notice period; you may cancel before then to avoid the new price.

11. Taxes

Subscription fees are exclusive of any applicable sales, use, or similar taxes. Where required, taxes will be added at checkout.
